How to Fix if You Can’t Access a Particular Website
Why can’t I access a particular web site?
TalkTalk Huawei HG635 VDSL CANNOT CONNECT TO AN INDIVIDUAL WEBSITE PROBLEM AND HOW TO FIX IT
And fear not it is not usually a network issue, it is in your router – again!
So here are the steps to be able to stop those time out error messages and vist the one website that does not load.
First and foremost you need to make sure that the website is still online – if it is not and you own or manage it then contact the Hosting services as this is not the problem!
Before you do that visit https://geopeeker.com/ and type in the url of the website and see if the rest of the world can see it – if it can then this is what you have to do. And of course log into your Talk Talk (in this instance) account and check that all your filters are turned off. ‘Kidsafe’ stuff. Especially if the site you want to visit has ‘mature’ content. 😉
1. Open Internet Explorer or Edge (Windows 10)
2. type 192.168.1.1
3. type admin and admin for your password (you should change that for more on how to do that click here.
4. Look at the following images.
Click Internet tab -Internet Connection
On the PTM – Click EDIT
Now comes the interesting part. Check it says 1500 (if you are a Hi-speed Broadband User – or not) if this router has been and still is surfing the net apart from one site! Then you may not need to change anything here. HOWEVER! You must STILL SAVE this page. EVEN IF YOU HAVE CHANGED NOTHING AT ALL!!!
Why? Because this does a reboot at the root. This is not the same as turning off an on the router overnight. This actually rewrites the data cleanly and if there is a bug it is wiped and reset.
Now go back and try that website again 😉
Bet it is there now!
