Many years ago and after watching all of Star Trek and the Original Series (TOS). I always felt there was so much left undone. The show was by all accounts now cancelled early, (and until the movies) fans were bereft. STC ties up so many loose ends and what ifs.
Skip forward many, many years and fan fiction became a thing with the internet. Amongst the fan efforts there was always room for improvement mainly due to acting skill or budget. Then Vic Mignogna steps in. An accomplished actor with great connections, and the crowd funded Star Trek Continues was born. It is the closest you can get to the original series with a new cast. Most are professional actors ((inc some very famous actors from the original series (even a Doctor Who) and other Star Trek shows! and given the blessing of Paramount at the time to do!)) including Scotties real life Son as Chief Engineer! Some larger donators to the project did so for walk on cameos as extras, like walking into the elevator. 🙂 I can see the attraction! Now this to many is old news. I have watched the STC series every year since it was first uploaded. Now on YouTube go take a look!
If you have never heard of this you are in for a treat and I envy you! It is still even at a million or so views greatly underrated. I still think people do not realise it is there. My favourite has to be ‘Fairest of them all’. Where they go to a parallel universe where the crew are the bad guys.
