What is the best Helicopter for LSPDFR in 2022?<\/h3>\n

First it is always better to have a helicopter that can do both EMS and police work. A Very good one straight out of the box is the AS-350 (see end of this article) and I may well switch to this version for some RP in the game as it is a very nice helicopter and authentic to CHP it also has the San Andreas livery!<\/p>\n

However, many of the callouts in LSPDFR are either pursuit where you cannot really see the helicopter and at night only see the searchlight. Or during the rest of the time either you are flying it yourself in say Wilderness callouts rescuing hikers from the mountains or calling the AI in the helicopter to your location as an air ambulance to hover or land on scene and thats when you need it to be an air ambulance. Whilst most copters even the default ones have that they are often poorly equipped internally (no stretcher or equipment) or look like police choppers with no space for casualties. Thats where this one comes in the Eurocopter EC-135 LPR 2.0.1. Whilst Eurocopters are still rare in the USA they are used in the USA by first responders. When you download this Helicopter it comes with this default livery, which is fine… But I need it to be double duty. Also some parts of the texture were in need of some tlc so I re textured the heli to be a State Police AMS\/EMS Helicopter. I have put some screenshots below and I think this does now do the double duty I mentioned.<\/p>\n

I opted for EMS rather than AMS as this is not a dedicated medical chopper. I prefer to think of it now as an allrounder. A chopper that can say collect a paramedic and take them to the scene with cops on board. Compared with permanent paramedics. Often the callouts in LSPDFR result in arrests on scene and whilst I try to tend to the peds as a cop invariably they must go to hospital or are taken by the ambulances when requested by your cop character. So I think this logic will work better when immersed in this world cop simulation or landing on the road at a vehicle collision. It is just more noticeable in the dark or fog. I will be releasing a video to see it in action so look out for that in the future.<\/p>\n

The main issue was the copter was textured as an EY chopper not US so I wanted to make it clear this was a State Police copter with US flags and badged appropriately. So there is clearly no confusion as to its role in San Andreas.<\/p>\n

Police Helicopter<\/strong>
\nInstall the download ‘Helicopter CHP GOOD-AS350_Ecureuil<\/a>‘ vehicle rename the files to the polmav.ytd polmav.yft and polmav_hi.yft slots. The spotlight<\/a> will work on the police mav now too when you press I if you have spotlight installed and you should! ;). If you use HeliAssistance for pursuits a Police chopper will come to support you rather than the medevac. This is the best way to do this as it feels more real and you have specialised choppers for each job.<\/p>\n

Eurocopter EMS<\/strong>
\nRename the vehicle files for the Eurocopter<\/a> to frogger2.ytd frogger2.yft frogger2_hi.yft
\nand you can change the Ultimate Backup plugin to recognise the FROGGER2 as the Air Ambulance. So when you call for the Air ambulance this will arrive and hover or land rather than the police mav. The file to change that allows you to do that is called SpecialUnits.xml found in Grand Theft Auto V\\plugins\\LSPDFR\\UltimateBackup. ayaou will need Ultimate Backup installed of course but everybody should have that to play LSPDFR.<\/p>\n

All you have to do is enter this text in the correct area and save.<\/p>\n
